Overview
Dr Lachlan McKenzie is Manager of Curriculum Development at the Melbourne School of Government. Lachlan leads the development and implementation of the School’s education strategy. He works collaboratively with public sector partners across Australia and the Indo-Pacific to design programs that build capability across government and meet the educational needs of jurisdictions, agencies and their staff.
Lachlan has experience in research, teaching and professional roles. His expertise lies in working between government and the academy to translate knowledge to improve public policy and administration. His research interests are in governmental decision-making and public policy and he has published in the areas of institutional theory, trade policy-making, and norms in foreign policy.
In 2013, he studied as part of a postgraduate fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence. He has sat on the editorial boards of the Contemporary European Studies Association of Australia journal and the Melbourne Journal of Politics.
